Already during the excavation of the building and later, under construction, the problem of measuring and controlling the height of two quite distant points arises. A line level is used for this purpose, which consists of a water hose of any length. We put a transparent tube at both ends. You might as well use a transparent plastic hose. Fill the hose with water after lifting its both ends upwards. With the help of a line level, we can control the height very accurately, even over longer distances, because the water level at both ends of the transparent tubes is always the same.
