Boards, squares, maybe

The cut and pre-dried tree trunks are cut into pieces called sawn timber in the sawmill.

All grated materials, regardless of the type of raw material, from which they were made, and how to obtain them, have specific dimensions and names. When determining these dimensions and names, both the technical properties of the wood were taken into account, as well as the requirements of the recipients (industry, construction, crafts, transportation, trade, shipping and others). Thus was obtained (Lynx):

– thicknesses from 5 do 12 mm and width over 100 mm,

– boards from 13 do 49 mm and width over 100 mm,

– thick logs from 50 do 100 mm and a width of at least twice the thickness,

– thick logs above 100 mm and width at least 2,5 times greater than the thickness.

The width of unedged lumber of the same thicknesses is free.

In addition, sawmills are working:

– thicknesses from 12 do 29 mm and widths from 12 do 100 mm,

– thin patches from 30 do 49 mm and widths from 30 do 100 mm,

– thick patches from 50 do 99 mm and widths from 50 do 200 mm,

– square timber from 100 do 199 mm and widths from 100 do 199 mm,
