Screed concrete

Screed concrete

The screed is made of a special concrete mix, which has great strength and high wear resistance. A fine-grained screed aggregate is used as aggregate, and as a cement binder. Weight ratio of the components of the mixture: 1 kg of cement corresponds to approx. 6 kg aggregate for screed. If the proportions of ingredients are measured with a shovel, the mixture should consist of 1 cement parts i 4-5 aggregate parts. We only add so much water, keep the mixture moist, and that it can be formed by hand. In order to increase the abrasion resistance, a mortar improving agent is added to the mixing water with the screed, which also increases its workability, i.e.. that the screed can be laid and compacted better. The proportion of the agent for improving the mortar to the mixing water varies depending on the product and can be found in the manufacturer's instructions.
